KAMI
Bio:
KAMI started out as a Canadian singer/songwriter under the name Camille Miller.
Prior to that, she worked extensively in the studio. Her latest EP was released in Singapore in 2019.
During the initial period of Covid-19, with the inability to perform live, she started collaborating online with other musicians and released
in the first 4 months of 2021, 3 singles produced by rapper Hangi Tavakoli.
A definitely different style for her coming from a Pop/Folk/Rock genre.
Then, through social networks, her path crosses that of DAMde8.
After many virtual exchanges and the discovery of the music and songs proposed by DE and DB, she is seduced by their project and the ethics of this artistic movement.
And it’s off to the making of a first album!
KAMI appeared, proud to represent this group of artists with whom she shares their dreams, their utopias and their ideals to deliver this alternative electro pop album influenced by David Bowie’s star.

KAMI a commencé en tant que chanteuse/compositrice canadienne sous le nom de Camille Miller.
Auparavant, elle a beaucoup travaillé en studio. Son dernier EP est sorti à Singapour en 2019.
Pendant la période initiale de la Covid-19, avec l’impossibilité de se produire en direct, elle commence à collaborer en ligne avec d’autres musiciens et sort au cours des 4 premiers mois de 2021, 3 singles produits par le rappeur Hangi Tavakol.
Un style définitivement différent pour elle qui vient d’un genre
Pop/Folk/Rock.
Puis, par le biais des réseaux sociaux, sa route croise celle de DAMde8.
Après de nombreux échanges virtuels et la découverte de la musique et des chansons proposées par Denis Expert et Dan Burkhart, elle est séduite par leur projet et l’éthique de ce mouvement artistique.
Et c’est parti pour la réalisation d’un premier album !
KAMI est apparue, fière de représenter ce groupe d’artistes avec qui elle partage leurs rêves, leurs utopies et leurs idéaux pour nous livrer cet album alternatif electro pop influencé par l’étoile de David Bowie.

Bio:
Sarah Jay « SJ » Hawley is a soulful English art-pop electronica artist.
Trip Hop band Massive Attack called upon her to write and sing « Dissolved Girl » on Mezzanine and « Wire », movie soundtrack to « Welcome to Sarajevo ». An engaging performer, she was invited on tour with them to promote this album.
After her Warp records release, « Yeah You », SJ recorded and toured with producer Charles Webster in « Symmetrix », « Lo Rise » and « Presence », fuelling the youth revolution through the nineties with Deep House and Electronica.
From humble beginnings singing jazz and blues in the seaside town Skegness, SJ carved out a successful career as a session singer with eighty or so International releases and soundtracks.

Sarah Jay « SJ » Hawley est une artiste anglaise à l’âme trip-hop, électropop.
Le groupe Massive Attack l’a invité à écrire et à chanter « Dissolved Girl » sur l’album mezzanine puis « Wire », bande sonore du film « Welcome to Sarajevo ». Interprète émotionnelle attachante, elle est partie en tournée, avec eux, pour promouvoir cet album.
Après la sortie de son disque Warp, « Yeah You », SJ a enregistré et tourné avec le producteur Charles Webster dans « Symmetrix », « Lo Rise » et « Presence », alimenter la révolution des jeunes dans les années 90 avec Deep House et Electronica.
Des débuts modestes en chantant du jazz et du blues dans la ville balnéaire de Skegness, SJ s’est taillée une belle carrière de chanteuse de session studio avec environ quatre-vingts sorties et bandes sonores internationales.
